Among the tall and modern buildings in Rochor, Sim Lim Square’s unassuming facade sticks out like a sore thumb. While most of its surroundings have developed rapidly over the years, Sim Lim Square appears to be frozen in time, with its blue tinted windows and off-white walls looking exactly the same as they did when the mall first opened its doors 31 years ago.

 

Since its inception, Sim Lim Square has gained a strong foothold in the electronics industry by being the go-to place for Singaporean’s technological needs. Computer parts, electronic gadgets, peripherals -- you name it, they have it. Despite its tainted history, the mall continues to hold a special place in the hearts of Singaporeans.

 

We chose the term 'Squared', a mathematical exponential, to represent the untapped potential of Sim Square Square as the IT mall of Singapore. With new tenants breathing new life into the mall, Sim Lim Square has exponential potential to be an IT hub in Singapore where IT is explored, developed and innovated.
